Rev. John Patrick Riley, CSC
Associate Pastor
Fr. John Patrick is a native of Buffalo, New York. He is a graduate of Canisius College of Buffalo and Notre Dame Law School. He professed his final vows in Holy Cross in 1993 and was ordained a priest in 1994. Before coming to St. Joe, Fr. John Patrick served as Associate Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Colorado Springs. His other ministry has included serving as Associate Pastor at Christ the King Parish, missionary work in East Africa, and nine years as Pastor of Sacred Heart Paris at Notre Dame.

Rev. Mr. Kevin Grove, CSC
Deacon
Deacon Kevin is from Hobson, Montana and came to Holy Cross and the University of Notre Dame after completing his undergraduate degrees in philosophy, history, and English literature at Seattle University in 2004. His ministry has included hospital chaplaincy, initiation ministry, and serving as a counselor at the Women’s Care Center. Deacon Kevin professed Final Vows in the Congregation of Holy Cross on August 29, 2009. The following day he was ordained a deacon in preparation for ordination to the priesthood on April 10, 2010.

Suzanne Wiwi
Principal
Suzanne grew up right here in South Bend and is an alumnae of St. Joseph School. She completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She received her Masters in education and licensure in Administration at Indiana University South Bend. Suzanne began her career as a second grade teacher at LaPaz Elementary School in LaPaz, Indiana. She was there for thirteen years before she came to St. Joseph. She taught second grade for five years before becoming Principal in the fall of 1989. Suzanne and her husband Mark have been married for thirty-two years and have one son Christopher who lives with his wife Amy in Morristown, New Jersey.

Rebecca Keller
Director of Christian Formation
Rebecca grew up in Lakeview, Oregon and completed her undergraduate degree in Theology and Social Work at the University of Portland, in Portland, Oregon. She moved to South Bend with her husband in 2005 for graduate school at the University of Notre Dame. She graduated in 2008 with her Master of Divinity and joined the pastoral team at St. Joe. As the Director of Christian Formation, Rebecca works with Christian initiation of adults and children (RCIA) and other Sacramental preparation. She also provides formation for the Christian life of all parishioners through resources and programs for adults, youth, children and families.

Lesley Kirzeder
Director of Communications and Development
Lesley grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian History. She taught 7th Grade Social Studies and Religion at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina for two years and moved to South Bend with her husband, Mark, in 2005. Lesley worked for the Alliance for Catholic Education at Notre Dame for four years before joining the staff at St. Joe. In her ministry here, she will work to serve the marketing, communications, and development needs of the church and school. In addition to her position on staff, Lesley also serves as the reception coordinator for baptisms, is a member of the Liturgy Commission, and sings in the choir.

Lauren Keck
Director of Youth Ministry
Lauren spent her early childhood in Union Beach, NJ, and then moved to South Bend with her family when she was in high school. She graduated from Notre Dame in 2003 with a degree in Theology, and then went on to complete the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Program in 2006, earning her M.Ed. She taught high school English for 4 years before becoming the Director of Youth Ministry at St. Joe, and she loves working with youth both in the classroom and as a Youth Minister.

Theresa Slott
Director of Music and Liturgy
Theresa Slott is a South Bend native and 2005 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she received her undergraduate degree in Theology and Music Theory. As a student at Notre Dame, she participated in the Notre Dame Folk Choir and Collegium Musicum. Theresa serves on the Diocesan Music Committee and is the President of the local chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. She loves ministering with the people of St. Joe in music and liturgy!

Fr. John hails from Long Island, New York. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1993 with a degree in Political Science and French. While performing a year of service in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, Fr. John discerned a vocation to the priesthood and religious life, entering the seminary for the Holy Cross Fathers in 1994. Fr. John professed final vows in September 2001, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2002. Fr. John’s first assignment was to St. John Vianney Parish in Avondale, Arizona, where he ministered to a large immigrant population. He has been Pastor of St. Joe since July of 2004.
