The 3rd Annual Saint Nick Six 6k Run and 3k walk was hosted at Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00am on Saturday, December 3rd. A crowd of over 175 runners and walkers gathered in front of the church to support of Saint Joseph Grade School, which is the educational ministry of our parish. The race began with the ringing of the church bells on North Hill Street, in front of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend. The course followed the East Bank Trail north toward Holy Cross College and looped back to Saint Joseph Church, where participants relaxed with hot cocoa and Christmas Cookies. Professional chip timing was used on-site, and participants took home a tote bag filled with goodies, including a Tech shirt. In the spirit of the season, we also held a collection for gently used running shoes to be donated to the Center for the Homeless.
