Buildings and Grounds

The mission of the Saint Joseph Parish Buildings and Grounds Committee is to advise the Pastor and the parish Pastoral Council on all issues related to the parish's buildings, property, and equipment. The Committee establishes priorities based on short-term, medium-term, and long-term needs, goals, and desires encompassing the following areas:

  1. Maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment
  2. Improvements of all facilities and equipment
  3. Electrical / Heating / Cooling requirements
  4. Property utilization and acquisitions
  5. Budget and/or Capital Campaign requirements
  6. Security and Safety

Members of the Buildings and Grounds Committee represent a diversity of skill sets, including (but not limited to) facilities/utilities, general construction, architecture, insurance/safety.

PROJECTS

2013 School Tuck Pointing

In June, 2013, work began on Saint Joseph Grade School to repair, clean, and improve the building's exterior brick and concrete siding. The work includes power washing, tuck pointing, and sealing the masonry as well as caulking/sealing windows. The original school building was erected in 1925; the entrance and administrative annex was added in 1999. For more information, view the bulletin announcement detailing the project.
