The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which seal or "confirm" the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church (CCC 1285).
YOUTH CONFIRMATION
At Saint Joseph, the Sacrament of Confirmation is usually celebrated in the fall of 8th grade. The Confirmation Preparation Program is for any 7th grade student at Saint Joseph Grade School or CCD student at Saint Joseph Church who seeks the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Catholic Church. Please refer to the preparation schedule to the left for important dates.
*If your child is not in 7th grade but still desires to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, please contact the Director of Faith Formation.

ADULT CONFIRMATION
Adults wishing to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church need to complete the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) formation process. Adults who have been baptized and received their First Holy Communion in the Catholic Church are eligible for the Sacrament of Confirmation. This is celebrated in the summer with other adults from around the diocese. Please contact the Director of Faith Formation for information about preparing for this sacrament.
Individuals who have not been baptized or have not received their First Holy Communion are invited to participate in the entire RCIA process at Saint Joseph. The RCIA process concludes with celebration of all three Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil in the spring.
