First Holy Communion

The Eucharist is the "source and summit of Christian life." The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it. For in the blessed Eucharist is contained the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ himself. (CCC 1324).

Sacrament of First Holy Communion
Saint Joseph Church celebrates the sacrament of First Holy Communion at the second grade level. Students who attend Saint Joseph Grade School participate in sacramental preparation during their second grade year. Children in second grade who do not attend SJGS receive their preparation through the CCD program at Saint Joseph on Sunday mornings.

For questions about Sacramental Preparation, contact Sean Driscoll, Director of Faith Formation, at 574-234-3134, ext. 114, or sdriscoll@stjoeparish.com.
